Episode 11 - Kevin Furtado

Our first high school coach joins the Grip Spritz Podcast to share his coaching journey, lessons and how he is helping expand and grow the game!
Kevin Furtado is the head coach of the Walnut Grove High School Girl's basketball program. He is starting his 33rd season as a coach with an incredible record of 490-275, multiple regional championships and state final fours!
Kevin also had the goal to grow the game very early on. So he not only started his own podcast but his own coaching clinic just outside of Atlanta.

Episode 10 - Alivia Williams - Hooper From The Future

Alivia Williams joined us on the Grip Spritz Podcast to talk to her haters! 
Alivia is an 11 year old with the goal to be the first WNBA player who also owns her own fashion line. While that might sound crazy, she is already working on it.
She is currently playing AAU basketball, invited to Phenom Basketball's 2023 Girls Showcase, has perfect grades and is learning how to sew when she's not in the gym! Oh yeah, she also going to play with the 7th grade team next year while in 6th grade!

Episode 9 - Ken Thompson

Ken Thompson, the man who doesn't have a lane to stay in. He's played or coached pretty much every sport, works in the basketball space to provide opportunity to players in the youth level, the high school level, and the pro level.
He has the goal to find a place for every kid to find an outlet from life, be it sports, STEM, music or whatever they enjoy. 
On top of that, he is providing giveback to multiple communities up and down the east coast through hygiene products, food and coat drives, school supplies, park reconstructions and funds to help victims of domestic violence.

Episode 6 - Al Smith

Al Smith is the current chair of the Pacific Division of the ABA. His journey from Arkansas and his time in the military lead him to coaching with Metta World Peace (Ron Artest).
Al coached teams in the Drew League going against NBA talent during the summer and lockout season. We've all seen the footage of guys like Demar Derozan, KD, Lebron, Kobe, Harden and many more taking the court in Compton. 
Al also shares his goals for his organization, STAR (Stand Tall Against Racism) to take us back to the past and create community again in cities all over the country.

Episode 3 - Brian ’Essince’ Collins

Brian 'Essince' Collins lives the age old saying, "athletes want to be rappers and rappers want to be athletes' except he's doing both!
Essince was born in Honduras before being adopted to a family in Ohio. Their love for the oldies birthed his love and passion for music.
Since then, Brian has been credited with an RIAA 4x Platinum plaque for his work on Drake's 'Views' album, 13 Billboard #1 albums/singles, done video work for Beyonce, Jay-Z, J Cole, Big Sean, Chance The Rapper and many more.
Lets not forget, he also owns the Akron Aviators, a minor league basketball team in the ABA and is currently filming his first movie!
